Team Justice League took on the job of tearing out a 2 story set of stairs and deck walkway at the lodge we are staying at. Evan, Josh, and Dana used circular saws and a Sawzall to notch out the stringers for the stairs. They made 4-16 stair stringers. Emily and Sarah N. Demolished the decking and hand rails. We Rebuilt the deck and hand rails and then removed the old stairs, cut them up, and hauled away the wood. While trying to attach the stringers we discovered they are about 1 foot shorter than the concrete footer (we used the template we were given). So that meant that we needed to move the 700lb. concrete block 1 foot. Thank you Dan Gallagher and Ted for helping us in this effort. tomorrow we will tackle the stairs.
